Bosnia and Herzegovina: Louis J. Crishock (U.S.) takes office as acting international high representative.
South Korea: Han Seong Sook takes office as prime minister.
Switzerland: Thomi Jourdan becomes president of the government of Basel-Land, Armin Hartmann president of the government of Luzern, Karin Kayser-Frutschi Landammann of Nidwalden, Cornelia Kaufmann-Hurschler Landammann of Obwalden, and Sandro Patierno Landammann of Schwyz.
Syria: President Ahmad al-Sharaa appoints the remaining 70 members of parliament (see Oct. 5, 2025). Its first session will be held on July 6.
United States: Robert Harrington is sworn in as mayor of Charlotte, to serve the remaining 18 months of former mayor Vi Lyles' term.
